Seville, Jerez, & Cadiz

We spent a week in Seville. It rained the whole week and our apartment had a few leaks – including one particularly large one right next to the master bed! On the upside, the apartment came with a very cute cat called Micho.

Seville

Due to the weather, we ended up spending only one day walking around Seville (the only day it didn’t pour rain!). We went to the gardens and castle and walked all around the old town. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get into the cathedral, as it was closed that day for some reason.

Jerez de la Frontera

We took a day trip to see Cadiz and on the way stopped at the town of Jerez de la Frontera. This town is known for its Sherry had had a few places where you could do tours and tastings. Unfortunately, we had limited time, so we didn’t do this. But, we walked around the old town. It was cute, but not sure it would be worth a second visit.

Cadiz

We spent the afternoon exploring Cadiz. I really liked this town – I’ll have to come back again and spend at least a few days exploring it. The old town has a Phonecian cemetery, a Roman theatre, several other old buildings and is known for its carnivals – there was a ton of confetti all over the streets.

Up next – Cordoba where we attended another week-long worldschooling pop-up.
