Shepherd’s Rest – Oria

We spent 2 weeks staying at Shepherd’s Rest in Oria. Two of the families we met in the Worldschooling Popup hub in Agadir, Morocco were coming here, so we decided to join them. However, all of the apartments in the main building and their secondary building were occupied, so we stayed in an apartment in the center of the town.

The town is very rural and quite small, but it had beautiful views over the valley full of almond trees in bloom and across to the mountains.

We spent the 2 weeks catching up with school work and chatting/playing with friends. Lots of meetings with friends over communal meals and campfires, sharing wine and stories. We even managed to have an early 13th birthday for K so she could share it with friends.
