The Turkish West Coast

Çeşme

Çeşme is a small town on the west coast of Turkey. Unfortunately, M wasn’t feeling well the few days on the west coast, so, instead you get me, C! So, Çeşme was a pretty small port town on the water, and had a few nice blocks along the water and a pretty cool castle. Unfortunately, museums in Turkey are pretty expensive for foreigners so we didn’t go inside.

Alaçati

Alaçati is very cute!!! It is a town with narrow, cobbled streets, cute buildings and small businesses. Also had some of the coolest ice cream display’s I’ve ever seen.

Akçay

We stayed in Akçay for a few days, and the woman who owned the apartment was super nice, and made us cake and coffee! It has a nice promenade, and a rocky beach. M and R also went on a nice dinner date, but as I wasn’t there, I can’t tell you all that much about it!

The west coast of Turkey has a few nice small towns, but we moved a bit too fast to truly enjoy a lot of it. Anyway, next stop… Greece!
