A Kid’s View – Cooking in a Caravan

During our trip around Australia, I have done some cooking. Cooking good meals in a caravan is hard but not impossible. I enjoy cooking and cooking with limited space is pretty fun! Every day you have to think about what you’re going to make and then you have to go to the shop to buy those things.

Because you have limited space you can’t just buy things you’re only going to use once and you can’t just open up your pantry and find what you need, so you have to be pretty creative. We only have three and a half small cupboards to put all our food. And our oven is extremely small.

Here are some of the meals I made while in Exmouth:

Filet Mignon with sauteed carrots
French Onion Soup
Sausages with onion pepper sauce, mashed potatoes and corn
Pumpkin Dump Cake
Happy Hour Taster plate

Thanksgiving

And for Thanksgiving, my sister and I made turkey appetizer and fruit platters:

Xmas and NYE cooking:

Xmas cookies
Xmas Eve tasting plates
Salmon appetiser & Greek lemon cakes for desert
Pesto pinrolls
