From Mildura, we headed south to the town of Horsham. The town was lovely and the Grampians National Park was amazing!

Broken Hill is famous for its mining and where today’s largest mining company got started – BHP (initially stood for Broken Hill Proprietary). Broken Hill is so named because one of BHP’s founders thought that there were resources to be found on a hill that looked ‘broken’.

The region of ‘Sunraysia’ doesn’t really have a set boundary, but it is considered to encompass a large horticultural area of eastern South Australia, northwestern Victoria and southwestern New South Wales.

Adelaide has always been one of my favourite cities in Australia. We spent about 4 weeks there exploring the city and its surroundings.

I was really excited to get back to Kangaroo Island – one of my favourite places in Australia!

We spent a couple of weeks exploring these two areas, their historic towns, tasting their wines and visiting beautiful wineries.

We spent a week exploring the Flinders Ranges, the mountains, and the cute, old towns that populate this area.

Uluru – the world’s largest monolith and its sister Kata Tjuta.

Coober Pedy is an opal mining town that supplies 85% of the world’s opals! I have watned to visit Coober Pedy for years and see how people live underground.

The Eyre Peninsula is big and has tons of beautiful bays and beaches to explore.
