We stayed on the coast just south of the river in Wonga Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Daintree River<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We went on a river cruise to spot saltwater crocodiles.  And boy, we weren&#8217;t disappointed! It&#8217;s incredible &#8211; they grow all of their own exotic fruit on an orchard and then they create ice creams from the various fruits. The road had several river crossings and some very steep up and down gradients (approx 30 degrees).  There were some spectacular views from the tops of the mountains and the track ended at the town itself and then the waterfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex
